Something Yummy

Phew - I'm all caught up on past challenges.  Challenge #570 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps was "Something Yummy".

There is nothing yummier than birthday cake!!!  This fun image and sentiment is from "Party Piggies" at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  Both are stamped in wicked black ink - which is a great hybrid ink - perfect for stamping, colouring with any medium and a rich black.

Mr. Piggy is coloured with Copics on Neenah white cardstock, backed in Pewter, Saffron and patterned paper, and the blue ribbon are all from Close to my Heart.  The awesome dots are Kraftin' Kimmie Dots - get them soon - they are not going to be restocked.

It's all about the Glitter!!

It's all about the glitter for challenge #571 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  I mean who doesn't love glitter!!!

I was excited to ink up and colour this long retired Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp - "Giftwrap Elf".  This little girl  I scored in a buy/sell group!!  I've paired it up with the bright Oh What Fun retired paper package from Close to My Heart and used bright lime green glitter paper left over from a retreat package.  For more glitter I've used pink glitter dots from my stash.

Even though this challenge is closed, get your glitter on & play along.

Animals!!

I'm working through all the challenges at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  Challenge #569 was to use "animals" in your projects.  Although the challenge is closed I wanted to participate.

How about this cute walrus from "Long in the Tooth" by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  I love this little sailor dude  and coloured him up not once but twice!

Why twice? He's a spinner card!!

Isn't it fun I found walrus patterned paper in my stash!  The blue striped patterned paper, candy apple red cardstock, square stitched die and spinner card are all from Close to My Heart.   A few Krafty Dots in white finished off the card.

Lesson learned - the sentiment should have been a little lower inside since it shows through the window of the spinner - ooops!

Spinner with Santa

I may not have posted in order, but I'm caught up with all the Christmas Card Challenges at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  Today's card is from #11 - Use Santa/Mrs. Claus in your project.

I've used a spinner die to make this awesome card.  The dial spins to reveal messages from the stamp set,  Dear Santa.  The beautiful focal image comes from A Chat with Santa - one of my favourites - coloured with Copic markers.   Both stamp sets and white enamel dots  are from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  Cardstock & spinner die are from Close to My Heart.

This weeks' Christmas Card Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - #12 is to use your non-traditional stamps for Christmas.

Cuteness!

The theme for challenge #572  at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is "Cuteness"!

I pulled out one of my favourite long retired rubber Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Nurse Nightingale

Isn't she cuteness overload!!!  Several years ago, my mom came with me on a road trip & we stopped at a since closed scrapbooking store.  Mom spied this little cutie and insisted I must purchase to add to my collection.  With a few nurses in the family I am so glad she did.

I've coloured up the image very softly with Copic markers, adding a few Kraftin' Kimmie Dots.  The paper collection is Magical Birthday Girl/Echo Park.

Get your Plaid on

I'm getting there - still working on past Christmas Card Challenges at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

This one is #9 and the challenge is "plaid".

I am newer to slimline cards but am enjoying the creating.  This card uses retired plaid patterned paper from Close to my Heart and a new slimline die cut in Candy Apple Red cardstock, also from Close to my Heart.

I used two sets from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps for my card.  Christmas Seals! was stamped in wicked black in on the two smaller rounds and Happy Winter Days wreath on the larger round.

For added interest I followed the die stitch marks with my black marker and added black Krafty Dots.  Digging way down deep into my stash I came up with the glitter stars for the wreath and the large bow.

Back to the crafty closet to finish up more Christmas Card Challenges.

AHSC #413

If it's Monday, it must be time for another sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Today's sketch

As soon as I saw this sketch, I knew I wanted to use the beautifully elegant Serenity paper suite from CTMH.

This is a larger card than the standard A2 size measuring 6.5" x 5".  I wanted to use that large upper sticker as a starting off point for my card.  Needing to balance off the lower portion of the sticker,  (and to follow the sketch) I fussy cut a co-ordinating picture my life card and tucked under the sticker.

The lower larger flower on the right and smaller flower on upper left are also stickers, popped up with foam tape.  To finish off I added some gold foil leaves from the sticker sheet and gold glitter gems.  All this is backed with toffee and sapphire cardstock onto the card base.

The envelope is decorated with a piece of flower patterned paper from the Serenity paper suite, a tiny bow stamped in toffee ink and a gold foil heart from the sticker sheet.

I do hope you enjoyed my interpretation of the sketch and that you'll play along with us at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Believe in your Elf

I'm playing catch up over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Christmas Card Challenges.  I got down & inky and finished Challenge #8 - Animals

How fun is this image from Believe in your Elf from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  The face on that reindeer says it all!!!   This set has two awesome images and wonderful sentiments perfect for all your krafty fun.    The image is coloured with Copics and layered on mutiple cardstock and patterned paper.

I fussy cut the "sign" from a pocket card and added a few Krafty Dots to finish up the card.  The envelope is, of course, decorated to match.

Cupcake anyone?

Let them Eat Cupcakes stamp set was calling my name...well maybe it was the cupcake...so I inked up another image.

This fun little lady is from Let Them Eat Cupcakes- a wonderful set from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  It has two great images and fun sentiments.  The paper was again from my buy/sell haul with a few krafty dots added.

You could put any sentiment inside - it doesn't have to be for a birthday.  This could be a great pick me up card or a fun note card to a girlfriend.

Remember to decorate your envelope to finish off the perfect happy mail.

Be sure to visit Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps to see this set and lots of great new releases.  Check out the supplies section for the krafty dots, inks and stencils too!

Lulu & Friends

A few days ago, I scored some fun Kraftin' Kimmie products through a buy/sell group.   Lovely papers, stamp sets, embellishments and more!!

One of the sets - Lulu & Friends - was just released as a come back set in clear.  I couldn't resist getting out my scissors, ink and markers to have a play.

Lulu & the sentiment are both stamped in Wicked Black ink from Kraftin' Kimmie.  The big ole cake was cut from a piece of the patterned paper.  Lots of layering and a few Krafty dots, flowers, twine and the card is complete.  I, of course, decorated the envelope with a piece of the dot paper!!

Now, let's dig into that cake!!

AHSC #411 - Happy Easter

Good Morning to all my crafty peeps - - - time for another awesome Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

This sketch screamed shaker, gate fold .....

So, that's exactly what I did - a centre gate fold shaker card!  I dug waaaaay back into the back of my stash of stamps for Easter Wishes for both the sentiment and the bunny image.  The bunny is coloured with copics and I used foam tape to pop him off the card.

The base of the gatefold card is the beautiful Blue Belle cardstock,  the patterned paper is Lovely, and the heart is Sage cardstock.    The shaker heart is created with the heart shaped die set filled with Blue Belle sequins.  All these items are from Close to My Heart & available through your maker.

Flipping open the centre gatefold I've added French Vanilla cardstock, and another cute bunny and sentiment - again from the Easter Wishes stamp set.

I do hope you'll play along with us at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and link up your project from this week sketch.  Atlantic Hearts is now on instagram - you can check us out @atlanticheartssketchchallenge - we'd love a follow.
