AHSC #431 - Lovely

Finishing off the month of July with this beautiful sketch from Michelle.  This one challenged me and took a few tries until I was happy.

This card is larger than the standard A2 at 5" x 6 1/2", and worked wonderfully with all the elements I wanted to include.

I chose to use Lovely paper suite from CTMH (it will be retiring soon) along with the sticker sheet,  colour of the year,  Blue Belle was layered with patterned paper.   The butterfly is covered in blue belle shimmer brush & is popped up with foam tape just in the centre to let the wings float.

Individual hearts from the sticker sheet were popped up with foam tape  over the heart sticker sheet for more dimension.  The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie -  "The Wild Side" stamped in Wicked Black ink also from Kraftin' Kimmie.

Remember to decorate the inside of your card and envelope to finish off your projects

You've Got This

Happy Monday - ready for another sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge?  Michelle has me going in circles this week!

Isn't this a cute sketch?  Perfectly yummy!!

I am in love with this paper from Craft Consortium called Ink Drops  - Dusk and decided to use a full 6x6 page.  Ballerina and charcoal cardstock, black & ballerina glitter from CTMH are also used.  One of the new products I've been playing with are Doodlepops from Doodlebug and this cat was perfect.

I added only a couple of black enamel dots and a heart from the doodlepop collection.  The sentiment is from Friends to the Finish by Kraftin' Kimmie stamped in Kimmie wicked black ink.

My card is black cardstock, so I added a piece of ballerina cardstock and another piece of the Ink Drops-Dusk to the inside stamped with a great sentiment again from Friends to the Finish.

The final piece of this paper was used to decorate the envelope!!  Now the card is off to a friend recovering from hip replacement surgery.

Enjoy,

Jennifer

Believe in your Elf!

Happy Monday - - wow we are almost half way through June.  Ready for another sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge?

This one is #425 & it is so cute - so many possibilities.

I love this little Elf from Krafty Elves (Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps) and was particularly pleased to find this wonderful diagonal stripe patterned paper (City Sidewalks, CTMH) in my stash!!

Green shimmer tape and green sparkly gems are the only embellishments on this fun card.  I popped up  the elf panel to give some added dimension to a clean & simple card.

I was able to combine challenges with this card which is a bonus.  Christmas Challenge #22 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is "elves"!!!

Come & play along with me on these fun challenges!!!

Christmas Challenge #14 - Glitter

It's not too early to start your Christmas cards and what better way to have fun while doing so, than to follow the Christmas Card Challenges at Kraftin' Kimmie.

Challenge #14 is Glitter - perfect for Christmas.

Isn't this little guy cute.  The image is a long retired one from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and unfortunately I don't know the name.  I've stamped on Neenah cardstock with Kraftin' Kimmie wicked black ink, coloured with Copic markers & then fussy cut and popped up with foam tape onto the die cut tag.  For added interest I've doodled around the edge of the tag before backing with red glitter cardstock.

Lots of layering on this card with patterned paper (City Sidewalks - retired CTMH), red glitter cardstock and finally glacier cardstock (CTMH).

To finish off I added a few Krafty Dots (Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps) and organdy ribbon (retired CTMH)

I love to decorate the inside of my card, along with the envelope to finish off my projects.

Come play along with the Christmas Challenges and get your card stash ready.

Enjoy,

Jennifer

Bad Hair Day

It's the final Monday in May and time for Sketch #423 from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  This sketch is a great way to use some fun patterns together and maybe use up some tiny pieces of paper you've been saving (aka scraps).

This is also a great sketch to rotate - maybe 90 degrees?

I've used patterned papers from Beautiful Friendship (retired CTMH) and selected 3 patterns and 2 co-ordinating solid cardstocks (ballerina & sapphire).  The image is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Bad Hair Day (retired) which we can all relate to these days!!  The image is coloured with my copics, fussy cut & popped up on white cardstock, matted on sapphire cardstock.  The pink twine is from my stash.

I used the sentiment also from Bad Hair Day, matted on sapphire again & popped up with foam tape.  The cute ballerina bow was part of the complements set for Beautiful Friendship.

I've also used this card for Challenge #581 - Anything Goes from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  I'm as usual late for that challenge but I do like to finish them all!!

Enjoy,

Jennifer

Christmas Challenge #15 - Clean & Simple

Christmas Challenge #15 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is "Clean & Simple".  This is right up my alley - but can be difficult for many.  The idea of leaving blank spaces is intimidating & often you want to "clutter" it up.

I used the stamp set "Shake it Up" from Kraftin' Kimmie stamps for my one tiny penguin image, coloured with copic markers & popped up with foam tape onto the background.  I used a Picture my Life card and patterned paper from Silver & Gold paper collection (retired CTMH) and backed with white and charcoal cardstock.  For a little bling I added silver embellishing thread and bitty sparkles.

That's it - leave it clean & simple & decorate your envelopes!!

Enjoy,

Jennifer

Exhale

Good Monday Morning - - I'm here with another sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  This is week #421 and the sketch is super cute!!!

I followed the sketch to the letter this week complete with flower image.

I again let the beautiful patterned paper from P13 - Four Seasons - Spring, shine in this larger card base.  I've used a beautiful lilac cardstock to back the patterned lilac paper and wrapped in lace ribbon from my stash (retired CTMH).

The larger flower image was fussy cut from another sheet of the patterned paper & popped up with foam tape for added dimension.  "Exhale" is a chipboard sentiment topped with platinum stickles.

To finish off, I've added gold glitter gems and, of course, decorated the envelope with yet another piece of the patterned paper.

The inside is blank to allow lots of room to write a special note to someone who needs to remember to exhale.

Enjoy,

Jennifer
