Shutter Card

Although I am an independent consultant with Close to My Heart, I do follow blogs and you tube channels of demonstrators with other direct sales companies.  (gasp)  One of the you tube channels that I really enjoy is frenchie stamps.

France's videos are so fun to watch and her instructions are easy to follow.

This is my version of the shutter card she demonstrates on her blog (& videos)

 The front of the card.

The shutter opens to reveal your sentiment.

I really combined the old with the new in this card and pulled out a long retired paper package called Vintage Travel from CTMH.    The sentiment is from a new stamp set called a Variety of Thanks available from the Seasonal Expressions I.  Flowers are cut with the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge in a variety of sizes.   When the belly band is removed the large sunflower stays on the front of the card with the other two attached to the belly band.  I added another sunflower to the inside but really kept the embellishments minimal.

I hope you try this card technique too - let me know what you think.  I love comments.

Enjoy,

Jennifer

  1. Great work! I would've loved that paper if I had been a customer or consultant when it was current. You may have tried to keep the embellishments minimal but this card is really detailed and makes me say "wow". Really striking. Thanks for joining in at Heart 2 Heart!
