Christmas Card Challenge #5

Good Morning & welcome to Christmas Card Challenge #5.  

This is my last day as a Krafty Guest with the Kraftin' Kimmie Design Team.  I am so appreciate of Kimmie and her team for the opportunity to design with them for the month of January.  I do hope you have enjoyed all the artwork.  I'm not going anywhere though - - Kimmie & the team will have to put up with me still playing along with the challenges and playing with exclusive release week items.  

The challenge this week is to create a project using Carolers or a Carol.  

I used the elegant set Christmas Blessings Sentiments, heat embossing the sentiment "Hark the Harold Angels Sing, Glory to the Newborn King" with Wow gold embossing powder.  I matted the sentiment frame on red cardstock with a gold glitter background and matted again on the same patterned paper and red cardstock.  To finish off the card I used a few gold glitter gems.  

If you don't like the tilt to the inside panel - - I know some of you want to straighten it - - that would work perfectly too!!!

The image & sentiment are stamped in wicked black and coloured with Copic markers.   A few Kraftin' Kimmie dots and fun safari paper finish this card off.  

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp products will earn you double entries!

Christmas Card Challenge #4

 It's time for another Christmas Card Challenge - - this is Week #4.  

The theme for this week's challenge is; "Use your stencil" 

I pulled out the Brick Wall Stencil and inked with Crisp Crimson & Granite Grey Kraftin' Kimmie Inks.

I used the image & sentiments from "Dear Santa" and coloured with Copic markers. The sentiment is stamped in Wicked Black Ink (a tad crooked too!).

A few black gems and my card is finished.

Join us weekly to help you get those cards, tags, gifts ready for the holidays! Play as often and as many times as you like! There will be weekly challenges (different prompts) and once we have at least five different people playing, there will be a prize at the end of the month for a $10 gift voucher to the shop!!

Mythical Mini Retreat

 What could be better than a Mythical Mini Retreat?  I had so much fun attending this virtual retreat by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  The design team knocked it out of the park with their awesome classes.  We created nine different cards and still have lots of supplies left to create more fun!!!

While I can't show you the stamp set yet - it's not released until later in 2021 I can show you the cards. 

First up - - See-saw card.  

Isn't it great!!  The dragons are magically flying through the air.  

In reality they are mounted to a small piece of vellum.  The mechanism for the see-saw is a small hole in the centre of the vellum with a small foam dimensional  circle in the centre.  This allows the see-saw to move up and down.  

The sentiment covers the mechanism and holds it secure.  

This card measures 6 x 6 (not including the dragon's tail).  I pulled out my Spellbinders dies to cut the circle and scallop.  The circle measures about 3 3/4".  A few fussy cut clouds and embellishments to finish the card.

Today we are celebrating all the new fabulous goodies in our January Release that are NOW available in the Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Shop.  

All five of our new stamp sets, plus two new stencils and a new hybrid ink colour BERRY BOLD were released yesterday along with a specially curated Add-on-Kit, and we're excited to share it ALL with you in a fabulous krafty HOP!

I've stamped Jack, the sentiment & logs  in wicked black.  Images are coloured with Copic markers.  Jack is popped off the frame with dimensional foam tape as is one of the logs.  

A few Kraftin' Kimmie dots to finish it off.

Christmas Card Challenge #3

 Welcome to another Christmas Card Challenge #3  at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  

The challenge for this week is to create a "slimline card".  The measurements I use for a slimline are 8.5'' x 3.5".  This should fit in a standard business size envelope.  

I used the fun Krafty Elves stamp set for my images.  As always, they are stamped in wicked black Krafty Kolours Ink and coloured with Copic markers.

The little girl colouring her card is popped up with some foam dimensional tape, with the paint palette and brushes flat to the stencil.  

A few Kraftin' Kimmie Dots (which I cannot live without) and finished.  I also lined the inside of the card with the same red patterned paper & a white overlay for a holiday message.

January Krafty Peeks - Day FIVE - Lumberjack and Jill Plus a Challenge!

Today is our final day of Krafty Peeks for the January Release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! 

Today we are absolutely thrilled to be introducing an adorable set by Neda Sadreddin called.... LUMBERJACK AND JILL!!

This awesome, rustic set is going to be wonderful for Valentines as well as birthdays, masculine cards and more!!!  I love all the fun accessories included!

As you hop around the design team's blogs today you'll be able to check out LUMBERJACK AND JILL in action in combination with a lot of our other new January Kraftin' Kimmie products.

I may have squealed when I saw Lumberjack & Jill.  I mean how perfectly do these stamp sets work with this layout!!  Remember your stamps can be used in all your crafty projects - ink them up and add to your scrapbook layouts, cards, planners, and more!!!

I've inked all the images in Kraftin' Kimmie Wicked Black Hybrid Ink and coloured with copics, fussy cutting and adding to the layout.  I masked out the "birthday" and only stamped the "choppy" portion of the sentiment.  

Of course, today is also challenge day and as always during release week, it's Anything Goes!  So create a card, scrapbook page, altered item, planner page....with some Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps products for your chance to WIN the monthly prize!

January Sneak Peeks - Day FOUR Dream Castle!

Today is our fourth day of Krafty Peeks for the January Release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today we are sharing another fabulous set from artist, Sabrina van Vloten and it's called....DREAM CASTLE!!!

May all your dreams come true....

I loved colouring this castle - I just don't want to be the owner and have to clean all those rooms!!

Again a larger card base of 6.5" x 5" double matted with no embellishments to allow the strong and sturdy castle to be the focal point. 

This castle is seriously gorgeous! And how about that amazing sentiment!

Royal Sentiments

January Sneak Peeks - Day THREE Royal Sentiments.

Today is our third day of Krafty Peeks for the January Release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!  Today we are "peeking" another fabulous set from artist Sabrina van Vloten and it's called.....ROYAL SENTIMENTS!!!

This sentiment set has so many magnificent words to mix and match - and you can imagine this is going to be a must have to go along with the Royal Family set from yesterday!!

When working with sentiments I want them to be the star of the show.  

In this case the sentiment is heat embossed in silver with minimal embellishments for a clean & simple look.

Double matting on the front & inside of the card and of course a decorated envelope.

Royal Family

January Sneak Peeks - Day TWO Royal Family!

Welcome back to Day TWO of our January Krafty Peeks!

Are you excited about what you've seen so far!?  Are you ready for more?  I hope your answer was yes because we've got more fabulous fun for you today!

The stamp set we are 'peeking' for you today is from artist Sabrina van Vloten and it's called.....

ROYAL FAMILY!

This is a fabulous set full of regal elements to create splendid scenes!  

 Oh my goodness, I love this stamp set.  

This is a larger card measuring 6.5" x 5".  so I could create a larger scene.  I've double matted the scene and added a couple puffy clouds to my dramatic dark sky.   

The sky & grass are sponged with Kraftin Kimmie inks which are a dream to work with.  

The two Royal images were stamped in wicked black in and coloured with copic markers.  I fussy cut and popped up with dimensional foam tape onto the scene.

Together is Better

 Who's ready for lots of brand new Krafty goodies?!

It's time for our January Release Peeks to begin at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today's featured set is a Krafty Komeback set by Cheryl Grand and it's called...

TOGETHER IS BETTER!  This was originally released in rubber, and we're so excited to bring it back in clear for you!!

This adorable set is, of course, perfect for Valentines, but is also going to be a sweet set to create keepsake cards for many special people in your life!

As you hop around the design team's blogs today you'll be able to check out TOGETHER IS BETTER! in action in combination with a lot of our other new January Kraftin Kimmie products!

I love the wee little girl in the stamp set and inked her up in Wicked Black Kraftin' Kimmie ink and coloured with copics.  

She is popped up with some dimensional foam dots and a couple more balloons were stamped and tucked in behind.

I used the smallest sentiments to include on the balloons - kind of like the sweet tart sentiments you find at Valentine's Day.  

Lastly I added a few red enamel hearts from my stash, and double matted my card.

You will spot our newest addition to the Kraftin' Kimmie Hybrid Ink rainbow!  It's a gorgeous new colour....called BERRY BOLD!

As always it will be available in full sized ink pads, ink cubes and ink refills!
