It must be Monday - we have a new sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  

 Such a fun sketch to get your mojo going.

I kept it super simple and used patterned paper and ephemera  from Carta Bella Craft & Create.  This fun  collection is perfect for crafters of all types.  My mom is a quilter & this fun ephemera was perfect.  I punched the circle cut & backed with scallop punched cardstock. 

I added the bow, gold embellishing thread and gold glitter gems to finish off.

Sometimes you just have to follow the KISS method of crafting.

I've chosen the "green" prompt - it's not easy being green.  Time to pull out the super fun Shell-o stamp set! 

I've inked in Wicked Black and coloured with Prismacolour pencils.  This guy is just enjoying the sunshine with his yellow duck buddy.  

The great paper was in my stash & the perfect find for this card.

Every month we post a brand new challenge with three themes to choose from, and a mid month inspiration post with even more creative ideas! You are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

Happy Monday!!

Ready for a new sketch? 

I decided to keep the spring theme of the sketch, along with the fun quilt block pattern.

I've used Simple Stories Bunnies & Blooms patterned paper, combined with AC Moore lilac cardstock.  The cardstock is ink distressed using Lavish Lilac ink from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  

I couldn't put away the cute Waddling By March Stamp of the Month by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  The cute image & sentiment are stamped in wicked black ink from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and coloured with Copic markers.  To achieve the oval shadow around the duck I've used Original Ovals stencil from Kraftin' Kimie Stamps. 

A few teal sequins and black doodling, along with a decorated envelope finish off this project.

Anything Goes with Funtastic Fair & Carnival Critters

 

  Good morning krafty friends!

It's March, and that means it's time for a brand new
SKRAPPY CHALLENGE

with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

 The theme of course is ANYTHING BUT A CARD!

For this challenge you can make anything that strikes your fancy....except a card!
So design a new scrapbook page, bookmark, tag, altered item, planner page, art journal, ATC cards...whatever you like!

Carnival Critters worked perfectly for my Norwood Fair page in my travel journal.   The tickets are stamped in wicked black in & fussy cut.

You'll notice 2 of the tickets I masked off the sentiment and journalled on the ticket.  

I also used Funtastic Fair & doodled the stitching.  

Just make sure to include some Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps products and make sure it's a new creation!  As soon as we have at least five people playing along, we'll be giving away a $10 gift voucher to the krafty shop as the monthly prize!

I've used Simple Stories-Bunnies & Blooms patterned paper with this cute waddling duck.  He's stamped in Wicked Black ink and coloured with prismacolour pencils.

I've added some enamel flowers from Doodlebug and popped up the duck with foam tape.

Sentiment is stamped in Wicked Black ink and doodled with Sharpie pen.
