 Happy Monday!!!  Ready for another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge?  

Here's this week's sketch.

I needed a birthday card for my mom - who is turning 89 years young on the 21st of February.  She is an avid seamstress, quilter, and knitter.  

Sew - I dug into my stash for the quilted embossing folder and Tailor-Made stamp set both retired from CTMH.  I used peach cardstock for backing the images and embossing, and matted again onto espresso cardstock which I also used as the ink for stamping.  The bow is from my stash too - Beautiful Friendship Bows from CTMH.  The tape measure is from a sticker paper pack from - you guessed it - my stash!!!

I deferred from the sketch on placement of the sentiment,  choosing instead to put onto the centre diamond.

Make your own Magic

 I must admit this set is one of my favourites from Kraftin' Kimmie - - Make your own Magic!!!

This is my creation using the little girl wizard from the set for the Anything but a Card challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  It is a magnetic bookmark that will hold your place in your favourite book.  

I dug waaaay down deep in the stash for the lime green stars on her hat - it is so fun to find something that works perfectly.    This is the only embellishment on the bookmark so it lays flat in the book.

Christmas Card Challenge #6 - Green

 Are you ready for another Christmas Card Challenge from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  If you're counting this is week #6 and the theme for this week is "green"!!

As Kermit the frog would say..."it's not easy being green".....

For my project I embossed the white background with a cascading snow folder and matted on dark green cardstock.  The Winter Scenery stamp set created the tree background for the window shaker card, with the sentiment from Happy Winter Days stamp set.    The Happy Winter Days stamp set is on sale this week at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Good Morning & Happy February!!!  

I'm excited to be re-joining the design team at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!!!  Join me and other design team members each week as we create a new project from an awesome sketch.  

Ready to jump in - here's this weeks' sketch.  Interpret how you wish, turn 90 degrees, switch up the patterned & solid papers - it's up to you.   

I had so much fun with this sketch.  Here is my project....

I dove into the stash & pulled out Happy Heart paper collection and red heart enamel dots, both of which are long retired from Close to My Heart.  This sweet little guy, Lucas is an image from Kraftin' Kimmie stamps which I coloured with copic markers.  There is a tiny wee spot of gold stickles in the centre of each flower.  

One fun element I often do is to decorate my card.  No matter if you are the recipient or not, when the envelope passes through it's going to bring a smile to everyone's face!!!

 Love is in the air .....

It's time for another Saturday Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and theme of the challenge for this week is ...LOVE.

For my LOVE themed project I used the stamp set Hoppy Friends from Kraftin Kimmie.  This cute set has two main images, accessory images and five fun sentiments.  

This cute bunny holding the heart with the sentiment "Some bunny loves you" is perfect for this weeks' challenge.  Add a few red heart enamel gems for even more love.
