Snail Mail

Every month over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, the challenge is to complete anything but a card.  This month my project was a box to hold my cards.

I used the cute set Snail Mail from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and coloured in my scene.  The box will hold standard A2 cards.  Best part is the top piece can be peeled off and placed on a card base to send to someone special.

Measurements for the box - bottom is 7 3/4" x 9" - scored at 1 1/2" on all sides.  On the long side cut the score line up to the point where they connect from short side.  Top is 6 78" x 8 1/8" - scored at 1" on all sides.  Again on the long side cut the score line up to the point where it connects to short side.   Add score tape on all flaps and turn in to form the box.

Black & White

The challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie this week is to use Black & White (or Sepia) in your project.  Sounds simple, but that urge to add just a pop of colour is tough.

Everything falls in to place when you find the perfect paper that is - - Black & White!!!

"Thanks" is cut with a thin cut and is a two part die with the overlay.  Really stunning when layered.  The cute elephants are coloured in neutral grey copics from the Up, Up & Away stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie.

Add a few black dots and call it a day.

After finishing the die cut the negative space was staring at me so I popped it onto black cardstock to create a second card.    Didn't want to waste the perfect cut.

This time I backed on cardstock, and again the cute elephants and black dots to finish off the card.

I'm ready to send out my thank you cards.

Check out all the other black & white projects at  Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and play along with the challenges.

Perfect Peony

Like many crafters, I love an awesome flower image.  Perfect Peony was released in May 2020 by Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and it doesn't disappoint as an awesome  flower image.  It is one I return to over and over again.

For this card I cut white cardstock in increasing sizes and random stamped in granite grey Kraftin Kimmi ink  the peony image over all three layers of cardstock.

The silver foil cardstock is cut 1/4" larger than each white random stamped piece and layered together to fit an A2 card.  A few silver glitter gems, and silver embellishing thread and the card is finished.

Yep, I even decorated the envelope random stamping.

Look how versatile this set is - same image but this time coloured with Copic markers in shades of pink.

Lots of ways to use this perfect flower image in all your papercrafting projects.

Tags, tags, tags

Have you started your Christmas shopping?  I have and next up is to wrap those goodies and finish with pretty tags.

Holiday Village from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps is the perfect set to make tags with all the cute little images.

I've inked the background with Kraftin Kimmie inks.  These inks are wonderful to blend and cover beautifully.  They are a pigment blend ink and the colour is so rich & vibrant.

I again used the Holiday Village set for both the image and sentiment.  Lots of inky background using Kraftin' Kimmie inks and stencil.

Liquid applique is a fun product to use that I have pulled back out of my stash to play with.  It is perfect for the snow on the roof & ground.

Now to get wrapping....  Enjoy

What doesthe fox say?

It's that age old question.  OK, maybe not age old - but What Does the Fox Say?

He says;  "Wishing you Warm Memories"

Happy Winter Days is such a cute, whimsical stamp set with this cute fox, a wreath, small ornaments and sentiments.  It's one you're sure to use again and again.

It's fun to add lots of elements on Christmas cards and this one is no exception from shaker window to silver glitter to more silver sequins to a mini pom pom on the fox's hat.  Each one adds texture & dimension and lots of visual interest.

Mmmmm gingerbread cookies.  Do you feel guilty biting off the legs or head?  It always seems kinda weird to me but they are soooo good.

Gingerbread Kisses is a terrific stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  I coloured the images with copic markers, fussy cut and placed on the patterned paper.
