April - can you believe it - before we know it summer will be here. In the spirit of April I decided to make some flower cards and break out some stamps that haven't seen ink yet and some paper I hadn't played with yet.
I always heard sayings as a kid about differnt months. For example, March weather was always anticipated with the saying "in like a lion, out like a lamb" or visa versa "in like a lamb, out like a lion." So of course April's phrase was "April showers bring May flowers". Welcome to my April shower flowers!!
I love the flowers from the Lucy WOTG exclusive stamp set. I embossed the background and used Lucy paper to highlight the blush cardstock. A cute colonial white ribbon and some bling on the flowers and it's done. The sentiment is from Card Chatter - Sympathy but this doesn't have to be a sympathy card but it certainly could be.
Isn't this the cutest little bee - it is from the Bee Happy stamp set and the wording is from Card Word Puzzle. The white daisy background was run through the cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder. I added pink bling from the red bling collection and ribbon from retired blush ribbon. The image was coloured with my Copic markers.
Stella paper package, Just for You, Stiched Together stamp sets and a cut pewter brad make this card simply stunning. I love how easy it was to create the flower. This image was cut with the exclusive to CTMH Art Philosphy cartridge and then stamped. I used the rock and roll technique with lagoon and olive ink. The stiching was inked with white daisy ink.
Happy creating all your April flowers.
