Let's get active - with "interactive" cards that is.
March card class features three interactive cards made with the Pemberley paper package. Waterfall, centre step, and side step, these cards are fun to make and really make a statement to your recipients.
First up the waterfall card using a great new set called "Kick Back". (D1511-14 images $17.95) I love the colours of Indian Corn Blue and Honey together, highlighted with antique brass brads and a smidge of cocoa ribbon and baker's twine. The flower image and the seashell image were inked using the rolling technique. Very effective don't you think?
Let's "Side Step" to the next card. This is a great card that features three steps off to the side. I love the featured stamp set "Card Word Puzzle" (C1494 - 63 images $13.95) and think this is the best value stamp set. The flowers from this stamp set were stamped onto the honey patterned paper and layered with pop dots. A great image from Art Philosophy, edge distressed in cocoa, a couple of butterflys from Flutter Paper Shapes (Z1463 - $5.95) with antenna made from Chocolate waxy flax (Z1088 - $3.95)and this card is completed.
To centre us all back to the front - let's look at the "Centre Step". The shadow images from the stamp set "Childhood Portrait" (D1373 - 14 images $17.95) is another favourite of mine. This set was shown in the Autumn/Winter 2011 Idea Book and will only be available until July 31, 2012. In the cluster of embellishments, I used Paradise Paper Flowers (Z1710 - $5.95), Colour Ready - Garden Wooden Shapes (Z1718 - 24 shapes $5.95), Bouquet Assortment (Z1694 - $5.95) and Paradise Assortment - Bakers Twine (Z1702 - $4.95)
I hope these cards have encouraged you to get "active"!!
Happy crafting.

Footloose Cards
I hope you have all had the opportunity to browse and drool over the CTMH Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book. I must admit this Spring/Summer Idea Book has won me over. I love the variety of the paper packets, the fresh fun colours and patterns and the wonderful embellishments that co-ordinate with each new paper packet. Not to mention the new My Acrylix stamp sets. I'm in love with it all - especially the new lower prices!!
Maybe it's because I'm dreaming of summer, or that I'm headed for the sunny shores of Varadero, Cuba, or that song .. you know you're singing it - Footloose is one of my favourite paper packets from this Idea Book.
The simplicity of a single sea shell with flourishes and the sentiment "May you find life's simple beauty in unexpected places" - Quick Cards - Shell $6.95 - was quickly a favourite and must have. I highlighted the shell with bronze glitz glitter gel and coloured using water coloured pencil crayons, all from CTMH.
I used images stamped from the set Key Moments B1392 - "Every moment in time is a gift and a blessing" to highlight this card. The key is popped with foam tape and three antique copper brads from the metal assortment provide the perfect finish to this card.
And last but not least, the images from the Art Philosphy cartridge co-ordinated with the Hooray Bouquet D1491 and Vintage Type #D1481 make this card quick and simple to put together. Add some ribbon from the Cocoa ribbon collection, some bling buttons from the Bling Assortment, and you're finished.
I know you'll enjoy the fun of Footloose as much as I do.

Workshop on the Go
I wanted to show you a couple of very quick layouts created with Believe Workshop on the Go. I'm really not this caught up on my pictures, I just decided to scrapbook 2011 backwards. So I am done with Christmas and Thanksgiving thanks to the Dreamin WOTG and Believe WOTG.
Isn't this layout just the cutest. I cut the title with my cricut using the Art Philosphy cartridge from CTMH and changed the size of pictures slightly and bada boom, bada bing - done a 2 page layout.
But Wait...
I then used the left over papers to make a second two page layout - added some Stickease and ta da - done. What could be easier than that.
Take a look at a WOTG from the Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book. This is Footloose one of my favorites. This is great not only for beach, pool, scrapbooking pages, but also great birthday, thank you, girlfriend cards. The colours are hot, hot, hot for summer - lagoon, creme brulee and sweet leaf. For only $29.95 you will receive the Footloose Level 2 Paper Packet, Footloose Workshop Stamp Set (only available as part of the WOTG) 2 white daisy cardstock sheets, wooden badge buttons and instructional brochure.
I decided to add the Footloose Complements Dimensional Elements $4.95 and the Paradise Assortment Baker's Twine $4.95 to my order, so that I could have the option to add my own flair to additional projects.
Workshops on the Go, a great value and something to be sure to take a closer look at.
Watch my blog for dates for upcoming workshops in March and April featuring WOTG - which one will be your favourite?
Happy Creating.
