Christmas Card Challenge #10 - Plaid

Ready for a new Christmas Card Challenge?  This week we would like you to use "plaid" in your projects.   

I'm using (one of ) my favourite Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Dear Santa for this weeks' challenge. 

Santa is looking more relaxed in his perfectly plaid suit from Photoplay-North Pole Trading Co.  The image is stamped in wicked black ink, coloured with copic markers, then his suit is paper pieced together.

A few Krafty Dots, and a decorated envelope to finish off this challenge.

Join us weekly to help you get those cards, tags, gifts ready for the holidays.  Play as often & as many times as you like.  There will be weekly challenges (different prompts) and once we have at least five different people playing, there will be a prize at the end of the month for a $10.00 gift voucher to the shop.  Who's ready?  There's a folder all ready for you in the Kraftin' Kimmie Friends facebook group.  We can't wait to see what you make!!

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp products will earn you double entries!

AHSC #461 - Purr-fect Friends

 

Happy Monday - must be time for a new sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  

But wait...there's more - it's Christmas Challenge #6 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps with this beautiful colour palette.  

I loved being able to combine sketches from two of the design teams I am on - Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps & Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  

The super cute image is "Purr-fect Friends" & the sentiment is "Mice Christmas" both from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  Both are stamped in Wicked Black (Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps) and the image is coloured with Prismacolour Pencils.   Fun mice background patterned paper Not a Creature was Stirring (Photoplay) worked perfectly!!  

Ribbon from my stash, some foam tape to pop up the circle, a few Krafty Dots and decorated envelope finish off this project.

 A Clean & Simple card is one with clean lines, areas of white space (an unadorned card base with no image, no embossing, no embellishments), with minimal layers and few or no embellishments.

I've used the Hello Beautiful stamp set, paper pieced and coloured with Copic markers, fussy cut & popped up on the card.  Minimal, simple embossing and embellishments on a white background, with a tad pink cardstock mat.

February Release - Hop

I had to use the adorable Pond Pals once again for this hop.  These cute little musicians just make me smile.  A bit of jazz, maybe some reggae as they float down the river on their lilypads.

I've inked up the images with Wicked Black Ink & coloured both the images and scene with Copic Markers.  I used some of the glitter gel on the waves to add some sparkle.

You're going to want the add-on bundle for all the wonderful goodies.  I've used the musical note brads!

Day 4 - Pond Pals

 

 Today is our final day of Krafty Peeks for the February Release 

 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Sabrina's musical frog friends are sure to bring a smile to anyone with their sweet melodies!

Oh my goodness, this guy is enjoying his ride.  I think he's playing some soul music, carried off in the wind by the fun music notes brads. 

I've stamped the image in Wicked Black ink, and coloured with Copic Markers.  Check out the glistening water highlighted with fun glitter gel.  I was able to add small details using an embossing stylus & dipping into the gel.   

As you hop around the design team's blogs today you'll be able to check out POND PALS! in action in combination with a lot of our other new February Kraftin' Kimmie products!  

I've had the fun music themed paper in my stash for a bit and it was perfect for the background & envelope.

Day 3 - Special Delivery

   Today is our third day of Krafty Peeks for the February Release

Today we are 'peeking' a fabulous set

These cute snails might be slow - but it's going to be worth the wait!! 

Who knew a snail could be so dang cute.  This big guy is stamped in Wicked Black Ink and coloured with Copic markers.  

I've used the Krafy Scenery 2 stencil & Fresh Fields ink to create the grass and Bubbly Blue ink for the sky.  

I've added fun sentiments on both the card & envelope and a few Krafty Dots to finish up this slimline Special Delivery card.

Day 1 - You're a Rockstar!!!

 

  Who's ready for lots of brand new Krafty goodies?!

It's time for our February Release Peeks to begin

Today's featured set is a Krafty Komeback set

Lexi, Lulu and Lucas are back and they are making music wherever they go! These images were originally released in rubber, and we're so excited to bring it back in clear for you!!

Lucas is having a ball with his big bass drum - - wonder what he is playing?  Whatever it is it's a fun parade.

I've inked up the image & sentiments using Wicked Black ink and coloured with Copic Markers.  Scene is also created with Copics.    The musical notes brads are so fun to embellish the card, along with a few Krafty Dots. 

Can't forget to decorate the envelope with the cute notes & sentiment.

AHSC #459 - Happy Howl-idays

 Welcome to Sketch #459 at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  Ready for a slimline?

I'm getting more comfortable with slimline size cards (A6) and had fun with this sketch.  

Slimline dies make this card making process super easy - just pick a die & away you go.  I backed the cut out windows with Echo Park - My Dog patterned paper & chose fun images from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Happy Howl-idays.  If it's dog related I'm in!!  The sentiment & ornament are from Art Impressions Santa Paws set.  

Images & sentiment are stamped in wicked black ink & coloured with Prismacolour Pencils.  A few enamel dots to finish off and, of course, decorate the envelope.
